HAIL BOB…REDFORD!

Skier Robert Redford is now surely cheering us on from celestial peaks thanks to his contributions to Mother Earth, Her snow and therefore all Her children thru the wisdom and values of Native Americans in his Sundance Ski Area, Institute, visionary filmmakers and fun Sundance Film Festival (above). This handsome dude was also pro “Me Too” and thru starring in “All the President’s Men” helped Americans understand the importance of boldly exposing and weeding out corruption. His big break “Downhill Racer” was honed from following our U.S. Olympic Women’s Team in Europe! He then invited me to his set of “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,” which inspired my producing the first (cowboy) ski ballet short “Butch Chapstick and the Snowdance Kid,” a spoof that Redford, Newman as well as Baryshnikov praised. See www.nativeclimateaction.org videos. Hail Bob and other Green Champions.

“As co-founder and Vice Chair of the U.S. House of Representative’s Native American Caucus (60 members), congratulations on your Native American Millennial Ski events. "Congratulations on all the efforts of Native American Olympic Team Foundation. All of us at Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation hope that the success of our "Future Ute Olympians Program" (taught by Billy's Olympic coaches) will stimulate other resorts and towns to host Native American youth for ski and snowboarding experiences. If we may be of further help in spreading the word, please let us know." --Chris Diamond, President, and Billy Kidd, Director of Skiing
